Celebrating legends in the African Literary World

The Department of Arts and Culture invites members of the media to the Africa Month Lecture to be delivered by Linton Kwesi Johnson: “Celebrating Legends in the African literary world.” Linton Kwesi Johnson is a global icon in the music and poetry world. In 2002 he became the second living and only black poet, to be published in the Penguin Modern Poetry series. 


This lecture and colloquium places a special focus on the work and life contributions of living literary legends, James Matthews, Don Mattera, and Sindiwe Magona
