In 2011, The Nederlandse Taalunie (Dutch Language Union) and the Department of Arts and Culture entered into an agreement to collaborate in the domain of human language technology (HLT). We seek to support activities that will bring about mutual research and knowledge dissemination in HLT and to strengthen the ties and reciprocal understanding that exist between the people of Flanders (Belgium), the Netherlands and South Africa to the benefit of Dutch and all the official languages of South Africa.
