Deputy Minister Mabudafhasi to officially open Democracy Exhibition and hoist a flag in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal

Arts and Culture Deputy Minister, Ms Rejoice Mabudafhasi, will officially open the 20 Years of Democracy Exhibition on Friday 08 August 2014 at KwaZulu-Natal Museum, Pietermaritzburg. The exhibition is aimed at celebrating our icons, especially women who have excelled in their respective fields such as the arts, leadership, sports, science and conservation.

The opening of exhibition will be preceded by the Deputy Minister’s visit to Forest Hill Primary School, also in Pietermaritzburg. The visit is part of Department of Arts and Culture’s “Flag in Every School” Programme. The programme entails hoisting of the National Flag, the singing of the National Anthem and the recital of the Preamble of the Constitution by the learners. South African hand flags and publications on national symbols and the anthem will also be distributed at the school.
