South Africa will commemorate the 2016 Reconciliation Month under the theme, “Bridging the Divide towards a Non-Racist Society”. The theme reminds us that we should strengthen relations with fellow South Africans and those who reside in the country and build a future where we all live together in harmony. The Reconciliation Day which is commemorated annually on 16 December started in 1994 to foster reconciliation and unity amongst South Africans. On this day, South Africans across the country are encouraged to unite as a nation.
