2 July 2010
Members of the media are invited to the opening of the Tap Roots Music and dance show. The show is part of the Department of Arts and Culture’s 2010 arts and culture programme.
Tap Roots explores the rich cultural textures of South Africa. Sello Maake ka Ncube, the writer and director of the show, boldly blends the golden era of tap dancing with South Africa’s “born free” hip-hop generation through tap dance. The Minister of Arts and Culture, Ms Lulu Xingwana will deliver a key-note address at the event.
