Arts and Culture to receive audio visual collections on World Day for Audiovisual Heritage

The Department of Arts and Culture invites media to a hand over ceremony of audio visual collections. The ceremony will take place on 27 October, World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.

Globally, World Day for Audiovisual Heritage presents an opportunity to create public awareness about the importance of preserving audio visual heritage. The celebration of this day comes when the world’s audio visual heritage is still threatened by natural decay, neglect and technological obsolescence.

The department will receive four collections namely, SADET-MTN-NEDBANK Collection, Sisulu-Sikhakhane Audio-Visual Collection, the Eopollo Collection and the Peter Tladi Music Collection.
