Minister Nathi Mthethwa & the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture In Conjunction with the Miss South Africa Pageant Organisers to officially Welcome Miss South Africa 2020 (Shudufhadzo Musida)

Shudufhadzo Musida is our South African Queen who on Saturday 24 October 2020, was crowned Miss South Africa 2020, taking over the reins from Zozibini Tunzi.

The National beauty pageant was hosted in Cape Town and televised virtually where Shudufhadzo, who hails from Limpopo, was then crowned. As she will be in transit going back to her Province (Limpopo) via OR Tambo International Airport, the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Mr Nathi Mthethwa, invites members of the media to join him when he will be officially congratulating Shudufhadzo on her achievement.

The current crowning of Miss South Africa has demonstrated outpouring support and once more positioned Shudufhadzo as a major instrument of social cohesion and nation building, demonstrating that sport, arts and culture can serve as a uniting factor for all South Africans.

The Minister, in conjunction with Miss South Africa pageant organisers and cognisant of COVID-19 regulations and restrictions, will this Sunday 1 November, take the opportunity to welcome and congratulate Miss South Africa to her endeavour at the OR Tambo International Airport with details as follows:

 Date: Sunday 1 November, 2020

Venue: Domestic Arrivals - ACSA Media Room

Time: 14H00 – 15H30

Space and access has been granted by ACSA to small contingent of media hence, media will be required to send RSVP to Stephanie@misssa.co.za Designated area has been allocated for media registration and accreditation for those that have RSVP’d to be able to access the media briefing room and domestic arrivals terminals

Photo opportunity for Minister, Miss South Africa and her parents at the arrival area will be allowed to all media that have RSVP’d. Media briefing session in the ACSA media room will take place where the Minister will give his congratulatory remarks alongside the media.

One on one media interviews for pageant organisers, Minister and Miss South Africa will also take place after the briefing session in the media room. Miss South Africa will be flying the country flag high for a durational period and her victory continues to inspire many women, especially the youth, hence this initiative by the Department.
