President Jacob Zuma will on Thursday, 11 December 2014, address the arts and culture veterans' gala dinner which aims to honour the veterans in the industry for their role in the liberation struggle and the contribution of the creative industries sector to the development of the country at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg. 

The event of is part of the 20 years of Freedom and Democracy celebrations. The creative industries contributed enormously during the fight against Apartheid and are playing a meaningful role in the nation building and also in promoting social cohesion and national identity.
