Sport, Arts and Culture hosts a National Dialogue of Reconciliation, Racism and Gender Based Violence & Femicide at the ArtsCape Theatre

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture will on Monday, 14 December 2020 host a National Reconciliation Month Dialogue on racism and Gender Based Violence & Femicide (GBVF), Social Cohesion and Nation Building at the ArtsCape Theatre in Cape Town, Western Cape.

As a precursor to the 2020 National Reconciliation’s Day, the dialogue will be hosted under the month-long theme, “Unite against racism and Gender Based Violence and other intolerances”.  This year’s dialogue will provide a platform for both men and women across various racial divides and backgrounds to deliberate on issues of reconciliation, racism, GBVF and other social ills.  

Government calls upon all South African citizens  to stand against all forms of racism, violence and patriarchy as they are potential impediments towards the national reconciliation agenda.
